Relax Hot Tub Oxy-Shock is an effective water treatment product used to shock your hot tub / spa. You can use Oxy-Shock on a weekly basis or when the hot tub has had a heavy use. Oxy-Shock can provide the necessary shock without affecting the chlorine or bromine level. Please always read the instructions. Pre-dissolve the required amount of Relax Oxy-Shock in a clean bucket with warm water. Stir in the solution of Oxy-Shock until the granules has dissolved. Ensure that your hot tub circulation pump is turned on before slowly pouring the Oxy-Shock solution directly onto the surface of the hot tub water. Continue to run the hot tub circulation for at least 15 minutes before using your spa.

Take an accurate reading of the free chlorine level or available bromine to discover the amount of sanitiser that needs to be removed from the pool or hot tub.
To reduce CHLORINE level, the dosing rate is 7gms of Fi-Clor Chlorine / Bromine Reducer per 1m3 (1,000 litres / 220 gallons) of water for every 1mg/l (ppm) of chlorine to be reduced. For the fair sized swimming pool of 50m3 (50,000 litres / 11,000 gallons), 350gof the product will reduce the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm)
To reduce the BROMINE level, the dose rate is 3gms of Fi-Clor Chlorine / Bromine Reducer per 1m3 (1,000 litres / 220 gallons) of water for every 1mg/l (ppm) of bromine to be reduced. For an average sized hot tub of 1.5m3 (1,500 litres / 330 gallons), 4.5g of the product will reduce the bromine level by 1mg/l (ppm).
To achieve the best results, it is advised to distribute the product evenly around the pool or hot tub. Leave at least 2 hours before re-testing and making any further changes to the water if required.
It is very important to under-dose rather than over-dose, as too much Fi-Clor Chlorine & Bromine Reducer can produce a chlorine / bromine demand that may cause overdosing again.

Fi-Clor Bromine Granules contain 1-bromo 3-chloro 5.5 Demethyl Hydantoin that will produce Hypobromous Acid which will sanitise the hot tub or pool. When testing for it use a tester that will show Total Bromine
Test your Spa water for Total Bromine, if lower than 2ppm you will need to increase it. The desired levels should be between 4-5ppm
Add Fi-Clor Bromine Granules at a rate of 3g per 1,000 litres to increase the Bromine level by 1ppm. Check the Total Bromine levels regularly especially after using the hot tub / spa. Fi-Clor Non Chlorine Shock or Fi-Clor Spa Oxy-Brite Sachets should be used as a regular shock treatment

Fi-Clor Alkalinity Increaser. Swimming Pool water needs to be maintained at a Total Alkalinity of between 80 - 140ppm,this figure can easily tested using Aquachek Test Strips.
Keeping your Swimming Pool Total Alkalinity within these limits will prevent damage to your swimming equipment and ensure that the Chlorine in your swimming pool is working effectively, whilst working as a buffer for the pH level
Ideally you should shock your pool around every 2 weeks or if your pool has turned cloudy or green.
