Hydropro P8 Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are capable of both heating and cooling and will perfectly suit small pools with a maximum volume of water of 30m3 if used during the main summer months. Outside of the main Summer months, the heat pump should be used on smaller pools. Realistically, the Hydropro P8 could heat a pool with a capacity of 15m3 All Year Round, if insulated properly.

Using the Hydropro P8/32 to heat your pool for an extended season of May to September we would suggest that your pool is a maximum size of 15ft round x 48" deep.

The HydroPro P range of heat pumps has a working ambient air temperature of  –5 degrees Celcius, although at this temperature reduced C.O.P. and output is reduced. It might not seem that you need to heat your pool in low temperatures but having a Swimming Pool Heat Pump that will not cut out when the air temperature reaches 8 or 10 degrees Celcius has huge benefits at the beginning and end of the Extended Swimming Season. At these times of the year the morning and evening air temperatures can be as low as 5 degrees Celcius. Our Opinion

The main advantages of a Flotide heat pump are the long term savings, these will only increase as the price of electricity increases. The capital outlay is higher than an electric heater but these should be recouped within one to two years. Other forms of heating such as electric and gas are quicker and less dependent upon the weather but in general a Flotide heat pump if correctly spec'd and installed will be the best choice for most owners.

The Hot Splash Heat Pump is designed for Above Ground Pools and is one of the smallest above ground pool heat pumps available. Built to heat Intex, Bestway, Summer Escapes and other Summer Use above ground pools with a size of up to 10m3 plugging directly into a 13amp socket

The Hot Splash Heat Pump is very cheap to run when compared to a comparable plug & play electric heater. For example, a 2.2kw Intex Electric Heater requires 2.2kw of power to run at around 42p per hour to run, whilst only giving you 2.2kw of heat. Compare this with the Hot Splash Heat Pump which only requires 0.56kw of electricity in to produce 3.35kw of power out. That is only 10p an hour to get the equivalent of 63p of heat.

Using the Hot Splash Heat Pump could give you a saving of £2.50 per day compared to an Intex heater, making a saving of over £250 in one Summer.

Poolex Nano Plug & Play Heat Pumps are ideal for above ground pools up to 12m3, such as an Intex or Bestway 12ft x 48" Metal Frame Pool.

It is suitable for heating a pool of 12m3 during the main Summer months. A Solar Cover has to be used whenever the pool is not in use, especially at night as this will speed up pool heating time and reduce heat loss at night by up to 5°C. Buy Now For Same Day Despatch.

The Nano Plug & Play Heat Pump requires 0.7kw of power to produce nearly 3kw of power out. That is roughly 8p an hour to get the equivalent of 40p of heat from the Poolex Nano Heat Pump into your pool making it so much cheaper to run than an electric pool heater.  You could even recoup the outlay in the first year in savings on your electricity bill.

The Eco+ Above Ground Pool Heat Pump has an exceptionally good COP of 5.3 meaning you can get up to 5 times more heat into your pool than it will cost you in electricity. The Eco+ Heat Pump is a small compact unit and needs very little flow rate to operate which is ideal for the small above ground swimming pools. Above Ground Pool Heat Pumps draw in air and expel air, the air they expel is very cold, other heat pumps tend to blow their freezing cold air (Waste) horizontally which can cause pool owner headaches due to this being a problem of where the heat pump can be situated.
