Relax 5kg Multifunctional Large Chlorine Tablets are the most simple and effective choice for your swimming pool. Being virtually pH neutral it is possible to dose your swimming pool with Chlorine throughout the summer without affecting the swimming pool water pH by any noticeable degree, whilst adding residual levels of algaecide and clarifier. If you have an indoor pool, we would suggest using Un-stabilised Chlorine, commonly called Shock.

The ideal chlorine reading in your pool water is between 1 and 3 ppm, this figure can easily tested using Aquachek Test Strips. Testing your pool water daily will allow you to keep control of the swimming pool chlorine level very easily. If the reading is too low, you will simply need to add more Chlorine Granules to the pool water. Full instructions, measurements and quantities are provided on each tub.

Little and often is the most effective method of dosing your swimming pool with Chlorine, as it is a lot easier to correct under dosing than it is over dosing.

The impact of pH on efficiency of Chlorine in your Swimming Pool

Your Swimming Pool pH value has a direct impact on the ability of the Chlorine to sanitise swimming pool water efficiently. A high pH level generally means Chlorine Granules are less efficient.
Water pH of 6.5 - Chlorine in your pool is around 90% efficient
Water pH of 7.0 - Chlorine in your pool is around 75% efficient.
Water pH of 7.5 - Chlorine in your pool is around 47% efficient
Water pH of 8.0 - Chlorine in your pool is around 22% efficient.

      Prepare your pool Base very carefully, sweeping the pool floor to remove all loose debris and sharp object which may push through. 

      Install your pool floor felt and foam walls if you have chosen that optional extra, the floor felt will protect your liner from abrasive damage from the floor of your pool, and give a soft feel underfoot. It will also soften any sudden impact with the pool floor.

      Start at the Deep End and secure the liner bead into the linerlock. Work your way round the pool, if two people go in opposite directions. 

      Once the liner is fully fitted into the liner lock check how the liner is hanging and adjust where needed. at this stage if possible "Set" your liner with a pool liner vacuum. This will pull the liner against the pool walls and floor, ensuring there are no creases when filling. At this stage fit main drain.

        Slidelock Reel from Plastica is a premium reel system made from stainless steel. The Slidelock Reel now comes with an option to make this a semi-automatic reel with a motorised system. The motor is powered by a Lithium battery that provides long life. A charger is also included. There are no wires required and the system comes with a remote control.

        The reel system has an upgrade option of a solar powered panel.         In the Gallery section, there are images of two pools that were both tested for ten days with no chemical treatment, no filtration and with simulated use.         Midas 500 micron Gold Pool Solar Cover is an ideal cover for the UK climate. The Midas 500 will offer the solar benefit while the gold underside provides essential heat retention.

        It is important to use a good quality solar cover as the ambient air temperature in the UK varies. As an example in the south of the UK, May night temperatures are between 7 and 10 degrees while daytime temperatures are between 15 and 19 degrees this averages out at between 16 / 11 for the month. Using a good quality solar cover such as the Midas 500 will enable you to start your pool up as early as possible, reducing heating costs especially at night when heat loss is at its highest.
