Water in pools and spas should be tested daily, you are aiming to achieve a pH level reading between 7.2 and 7.6 before adding the chlorine. Use pH+ or pH- to adjust if necessary. Pool free chlorine levels must be between 1ppm* and 3ppm* and spas should be between 3ppm* and 5ppm*. Maintain these levels to keep your water CLEAR & SAFE™.

These are high strength slow dissolving tablets, they take 2-3 days to dissolve in a hot tub and 3-5 days in a colder swimming pool. If they dissolved too quickly the chlorine level would become too high and hard to control. The dissolution rate also depends on how they are being dosed, high water flow around the tablet will be quicker than in a floating dispenser.

Liner Installation Instructions

Install your pool floor felt and foam walls if you have chosen that optional extra, the floor felt will protect your liner from abrasive damage from the floor of your pool, and give a soft feel underfoot. It will also soften any sudden impact with the pool floor.

Start at the Deep End and secure the liner bead into the linerlock. Work your way round the pool, if two people go in opposite directions.

Once the liner is fully fitted into the liner lock check how the liner is hanging and adjust where needed. at this stage if possible "Set" your liner with a pool liner vacuum. This will pull the liner against the pool walls and floor, ensuring there are no creases when filling. At this stage fit main drain.

Once any wrinkles are removed start filling the pool. As the pool water rises fit the returns and skimmers as the the water reaches just below each fitting. This will allow the liner to have fully stretched in and reduce any risks of leaks.

Please note that all warranty claims on liners are only valid if any fault is found on a manufactured seam. All the liners are reverse inflated when manufactured to ensure water tightness, so no warranty can be accepted for holed liners.

DO NOT USE ANY KNIVES WHEN OPENING THE LINER PACKAGING.

Replacement Cube Tiled Pattern Overlap Liners by Swimline are 16 thou on the floor & walls, to ensure a professional installation only install the liner on a warm and dry day as these are stretched into place to prevent creases. These liners are suitable for 48” and 52” wall heights and due to the nature of this product these are non-returnable so please be sure you have measured your pool correctly before placing an order.

The Overlap liner is probably the least expensive liner you can buy on the market but if installed correctly can look as good as any other, please ensure all preparation works are carried out to manufactures guidelines as any imperfections will be shown once you start filling with water. Here are a few liner installation guidelines that we would strongly suggest following

Liner Installation Instructions

Install day must be a warm sunny day to replace your liner with very little wind, the hotter it is the easier the installation will be.

Leave your new liner in a conservatory or in a very warm spot to get the boxed liner as warm as possible before unpacking. This will ensure flexibility in the liner when it comes to install day

Prepare your pool Base very carefully, sweeping the pool floor to remove all loose debris and sharp object which may push through. Always form a cove or install your Easy Cove at the bottom of the pool wall. The coving is a vital part in ensuring a lock is formed at the bottom of your pool. An inadequate cove will result in liner pushing underneath the wall causing the liner to fail.

Install your pool floor felt and foam walls if you have chosen that optional extra, the floor felt will protect your liner from abrasive damage from the floor of your pool, and give a soft feel underfoot. It will also soften any sudden impact with the pool floor.

When overlapping your liner be careful not to drag it over any sharp edges to puncture the liner and make sure the overlap is even all the way round. Once you have overlapped it so much aim to have the liner 3” to 6” off the ground before filling and clamp down with heavy duty pegs.

Start filling the pool, at this stage there should be 1 person inside the pool trying to move out any excess liner material to the edges and ensuring they control the helpers outside the pool to release or hold the liner as necessary.

Whilst filling do not be tempted to drop to much liner in at once as creases will not be able to be pulled out due to the weight of the water. Drop liner in small and even quantities until water level has reached pools walls, at this stage you should not have to drop any more liner in.

These replacement overlap swimming pool Liners are suitable for all sizes of the following pools:
Doughboy, Vouge, Teakwood Discovery, Equinox , Regatta & Regatta II, Topaz, Reprieve, Oracle, Trevi 205, Summer Days.

These liners have a material thickness of:

The Kafko DIY swimming Pool offers a well built quality finished swimming pool for a fraction of what a traditional pool would cost. Inground pools for standard size can cost around £50,000.00 so a Kafko offers really great vaule.

Kafko Pool come with a quality Liner, the structure of the pool is made from Polymer Pool Panels. Liners can last from approximately 7-10 years upwards. replacing a liner totally renovates the pool, so a fresh new look can be achieved, unlike tiled pools that will start to look warn and are very expensive to renovate.

THE KAFKO DIY POOL KIT

Kafko Kits Consist of Polymer Panels, Kafko Polymer pool panel sets are available in 4ft (1.22m) depths with polymer bracing at 4ft increments. All panels prior to delivery, are pre-cut at our warehouse using a custom made jig to enable skimmer(s), Light fitting(s) etc to be installed accurately and with ease. Colours may vary.

Alternative 5’ Pool depth is also possible, an optional 5′ pool depth is also available at no extra cost. The same liner that is used for a 4′ depth pool can also be used for a 5′ depth pool. The liner material is expandable and will stretch into position if the excavation is carried out to the dimensions carried out below.

We can enhance the package with additional items such as heat pumps to provide summer, extended summer and longer season heating if required. Tips for building a DIY Swimming Pool

Budget for add-ons. Whilst the DIY pool kit provides you with the basic parts to build your pool, you may wish to budget for add-ons such as outdoor lighting, safety fencing, swimming pool covers or additional landscaping.
Consider your location carefully. Once installed, the pool will not be able to be moved unless at a very high cost. Draw a scale plan of your garden and ensure you have the right space before building. Keep away from trees or shaded areas and make sure no electric cables, water or gas pipes run through the proposed site.
Tools for the job. You will require an extensive number of tools to complete the task, including specialist equipment such as an industrial vacuum cleaner and angle grinder.
Manpower. If you are planning on building the pool without any heavy machinery, then you’ll likely need the help of a team of people to assist with the initial digging.
Time. Ensure that you’ve blocked out enough spare time to complete this project, as once you start, you’ll want to ensure that each task is completed within quick succession of one another.
Materials. On top of the initial DIY pool kit, you will also require standard building materials including soft sand, ballast, cement and 40mm shingle. Make sure you have all of these materials to hand before starting the build.
Get help if needed. If you aren’t confident with a certain aspect of the process, then seek help for those parts. You may be able to excavate and level the hole to your satisfaction but might not be able to execute the plumbing. Hire someone to help rather than sacrifice quality.

Do I need planning permission for a DIY Swimming Pool?

In most cases, you do not need planning permission to build a DIY swimming pool. However, you may need to contact your planning office if you are living in:

green belt

How long does it take to get council approval for a pool?

Approval from a council for your pool build, should you need it, could be expected to be delivered between 8 and 16 weeks, depending on the circumstances. Planning authorities are duty-bound to make decisions on applications quickly, and as such, there is a statutory determination period of 8 weeks for ‘straight forward planning applications’. In cases where an Environmental Impact Assessment is needed, this period is extended to 16 weeks.

The cleaner works on pools up to 15 meters long, there are 3 options for cleaning cycles of 1h30, 2h30 and 3h30. All parts of the pool floor, wall s and surfaces are cleaned thoroughly by its Gyro navigation system, this system calculates the trajectory needed to clean the total coverage of the swimming pool.
