Ahh Some Spa Cleaner (Bio Film Remover)

What is Ahh Some Spa Cleaner?

Ahh Some Spa Cleaner is an environmentally friendly Bio Film Remover for hot tub spas. It is a formula that when applied to hot tub water, removes the build-up of biofilm (oils, bacteria, lotions, cosmetics, skin and other organic contaminants) within the pool water as well as the plumbing, jets, and shell of your Hot Tub or Spa.

What is Bio Film?

Biofilm is a complex structure which adheres to surfaces that are in regular contact with water. Biofilm consist of colonies of bacteria and other micro organisms (such as yeasts, fungi and protozoa) that secrete a mucilaginous protective coating (EPS matrix) in which they are encased. They can form on solid or liquid surfaces and are typically resistant to conventional methods of disinfection.

Why do Hot Tub Spas Get Bio Film?

Hot tubs and spas are more difficult to maintain due to the heat of the water. Bio-Film thrives on bacteria comprising of dead skin and other components and due to the warmer temperature of water, bio-film multiplies by the day. A product such as the Ahh-Some Spa cleaner is a must for any hot tub or spa owner.

How does Ahh-Some work?

Ahh-Some works at dislodging the Biofilm EPS matrix. Our formulation include components that soften the outer walls, allowing scrubbers and carrier salts to loosen and break-up these hard to get rid of bacteria. It effectively does this by stripping the layers off the Biofilm when it is adhered to a surface. You must remember that Ahh-Some is not an enzymatic cleaner so when using the product in sanitised systems, add a shock dose of the sanitiser prior to starting treatment. This ensures that as Ahh Some dislodges cells back into a planktonic condition, the sanitiser can attack and control as it was designed.

Why Ahh-Some?

Ahh Some reduces your sanitiser usage, improves your water clarity, reduces unpleasant odours and generally enhances your bathing experience.
