PRODUCT INFO:

Easy Cove for above ground swimming pools are ideal in forming a perfect smooth edge along the bottom edge of the pool, some engineers tend to use a sand or sifted soil cove which can cause problems in time.

The sand/soil can gradually be washed away leaving large gaps in between the pool wall and floor, in time the liner can be pushed through these gaps under pressure from the water and could eventually cause the liner to split. This can be prevented by using easy cove, which comes with an adhesive strip along the back to stick to the bottom of the pool wall; this will not wash away or rot away.

Easy Cove is a cheap but effective way to prevent these problems occurring

Kingspan XPS thermal boarding (Styrozone H350r) will make a significant difference in your swimming pool heating costs. Whether it is because you are legally required as in the case of indoor swimming pools or not in the case of outdoor pools it make 100% sense to insulate your swimming pool. Energy costs are only going to get higher and although there are great heating systems now available it is important to retain the heat you are generating as much as possible. Our XPS Thermal Boards are great value compared to other systems available and are easy to install. These Thermal Boards will insulate your Pool Walls and Floor to a U-Value of .22. The legal requirement for indoor swimming pools is .25.

Part L building regulations - Conservation of fuel and power, require indoor swimming pools to be correctly insulated, if you would like to discuss the requirements in more detail please call us on 0132255870 and speak to one of our technical advisers. 

Please note that other types of insulation such as EPS, Jablite, Polystyrene will absorb water and will have a reverse effect. If you are looking to properly insulate your pool the XPS boards are a great value system designed for pool insulation.

Rainbow InLine Leaf Trap For Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose

The Certikin Rainbow Leaf trap is ideal for when vacuuming your pool, simply attach the clever mechanism between your vacuum point and your vacuum head and this will catch any debris before it reaches the pump/filter.
The Rainbow Leaf Trap comes with a larger pre-filter then what comes with any standard pool pump so lesser emptying of the pump basket. A pump pre-filter comes with a grid mesh to stop stones and other larger debris from clogging up your impeller in your pump which is great but doesn’t stop debris such as algae strands and pine leaves which will pass a pump basket and break the pump if too much is collected behind the impeller.
The Rainbow Leaf Trap comes complete with a very fine mesh net which catches absolutely everything before getting to your pump filter system
When vacuuming you swimming pool it’s hard to see your pump basket is full whilst cleaning at the same time, the only tell-tale sign is if you notice the suction has slight lessened from when you originally started vacuuming. By this time you have push debris around the pool and the debris is now suspense in the water and can’t be vacuumed and you now have to return a couple of hour later to pick up the suspended particles when settled down again.
When using the leaf trap it will always be within arm’s reach at all times and can be easily changed to increase suction power. Made from a high grade clear plastic so you can see clearly when needing to be changed and strong enough not to be broken/crack under pressure or even when dropped.
Keeping the pre-filter in your pump empty will result in free flowing water and for you to gain 100% of your pumps velocity at all times, which makes a real difference when it comes to vacuuming your pool. In the majority of swimming pool pumps they come with a small pre-filter with large grid like baskets to prevent stones going into the impeller of the pump which is great! But this doesn’t stop build-up of algae and pine leave etc. Having these inside your pump can be costly to you as the pump will burn out or debris will simply brake the impeller and a new pump will have to be purchased.
If you have a pump which isn’t cheap I would always recommend a leaf trap when vacuuming as this can result in a better clarity in cleaning and keep your pump intact. Comes complete with a heavy duty handle to carry debris away from the pool area and can also be used to tighten lid back on to make sure seal is completely sealed around the o-rind of the lid which is supplied also.

    Relax 5kg Stabilised Chlorine Granules (Sodium Dichloroiscyanurate-Dihydrate) are the most simple and effective choice for your swimming pool. Being virtually pH neutral it is possible to dose your swimming pool with Chlorine throughout the summer without affecting the swimming pool water pH by any noticeable degree. If you have an indoor pool, we would suggest using Un-stabilised Chlorine, commonly called Shock.

    The ideal chlorine reading in your pool water is between 1 and 3 ppm, this figure can easily tested using Aquachek Test Strips. Testing your pool water daily will allow you to keep control of the swimming pool chlorine level very easily. If the reading is too low, you will simply need to add more Chlorine Granules to the pool water. Full instructions, measurements and quantities are provided on each tub.

    Little and often is the most effective method of dosing your swimming pool with Chlorine, as it is a lot easier to correct under dosing than it is over dosing.

    The impact of pH on efficiency of Chlorine in your Swimming Pool

    Your Swimming Pool pH value has a direct impact on the ability of the Chlorine to sanitise swimming pool water efficiently. A high pH level generally means Chlorine Granules are less efficient.
    Water pH of 6.5 - Chlorine in your pool is around 90% efficient
    Water pH of 7.0 - Chlorine in your pool is around 75% efficient.
    Water pH of 7.5 - Chlorine in your pool is around 47% efficient
    Water pH of 8.0 - Chlorine in your pool is around 22% efficient.
