Prepare your pool Base very carefully, sweeping the pool floor to remove all loose debris and sharp object which may push through. 

Install your pool floor felt and foam walls if you have chosen that optional extra, the floor felt will protect your liner from abrasive damage from the floor of your pool, and give a soft feel underfoot. It will also soften any sudden impact with the pool floor.

Start at the Deep End and secure the liner bead into the linerlock. Work your way round the pool, if two people go in opposite directions. 

Once the liner is fully fitted into the liner lock check how the liner is hanging and adjust where needed. at this stage if possible "Set" your liner with a pool liner vacuum. This will pull the liner against the pool walls and floor, ensuring there are no creases when filling. At this stage fit main drain.

Once any wrinkles are removed start filling the pool. As the pool water rises fit the returns and skimmers as the the water reaches just below each fitting. This will allow the liner to have fully stretched in and reduce any risks of leaks.

Easy Cove for above ground swimming pools are ideal in forming a perfect smooth edge along the bottom edge of the pool, some engineers tend to use a sand or sifted soil cove which can cause problems in time.

The sand/soil can gradually be washed away leaving large gaps in between the pool wall and floor, in time the liner can be pushed through these gaps under pressure from the water and could eventually cause the liner to split. This can be prevented by using easy cove, which comes with an adhesive strip along the back to stick to the bottom of the pool wall; this will not wash away or rot away.

Easy Cove is a cheap but effective way to prevent these problems occurring

 How Do I Repair A Vinyl Liner?

Using our vinyl liner repair kit it is possible to patch a liner and make a repair either above or below the waterline. Each vinyl repair kit comes with a tube of solvent adhesive, an applicator and a length of strong, clear PVC that, when applied to the Swimming pool liner wall or floor will waterproof the liner and negate the need to replace it.

Can I Use The Vinyl Repair Kit Underwater?

Our Vinyl Liner Repair Kits are suitable for use above or underwater. If using the repair kit underwater cut the clear vinyl into an Oval or Circle, apply the adhesive on one side, then fold that side onto itself so the adhesive is not visible. To apply the patch underwater you must then take the patch to the split or hole in the liner and then open it up and immediately apply to the liner wall or floor. Firm pressure must be applied for at least 30 seconds to allow the weld to happen and this will give you a strong repair.

Will The Repair Patch Match My Liner?

The Vinyl Liner Repair Kit uses Clear Vinyl, so it is compatible with any liner. It also compatible with any liner pool, whether it is an inground pool or an above ground pool. If you have an above ground pool we recommend adding a patch on both the outside and inside if possible.

Fix A Leek is the best swimming pool repair product available. If you are losing water in Your Swimming Pool but not sure where, Fix a Leak can prevent a frustrating, time consuming and expensive process which may require excavation to find a potentially small leak. Fix-A-Leak is one of the most trusted products available and is used by pool professionals in making permanent repairs without any significant costs FIX-A-LEAK is a blended concentrated liquid product that has been designed to seal leaks in virtually any material and is a favourite pool engineers products in resolving potentially expensive repairs. Fix a Leak is used to fix leaks in the shell and/or plumbing and will seal holes 1/8" in diameter. Once sealed the bond is permanent.

Fix a Leak is imported from the USA so the measurements on the bottle are based on quarts. To convert to litres x by 1.1326. 1 x 32oz bottle will treat 17,500 litres of water. Do not use in excess of 1 quart per 5,000 gallons of water.

DIRECTIONS
* Shake Well Before Using*
1. Bypass FILTER MEDIA before adding FIX-A-LEAK to water. Sand filters: Set multiport valve to recirculate.
2. With the filter pump running, add FIX-A-LEAK slowly through skimmer or in front of any other suction intake.
3. After adding FIX-A-LEAK adjust suction to the main drain. If this is not possible, the vacuum cleaner could be used alternatively, simply by placing the vacuum in deepest part of pool and connect to normal vacuum connection. Set filter valve to normal vacuum position.
4. FIX-A-LEAK is very heavy liquid and will sink to the lowest point rather quickly. It must be stirred back into suspension, either manually or by using a pool cleaner every 4-6 hrs. during circulation of water.
5. Continue to recirculate water until the leak has stopped.
6. To check if the Fix A Leak has found the leak and sealed you should mark the water level and check over the next few days to determine if the leak has stopped.
7. If you are happy that the water level is stable and the leak fixed you will need to wait 1 to 2 days in order to cure properly. After this time you can switch back to normal filtration.
Sand Filters: Set multiport valve to filter. Backwash out unused FIX-A-LEAK .
8. Suction Line Leaks - In most cases suction lines only leak water when the filter pump is shut off.

Normal Circulation will simply draw FIX-A-LEAK away from the leak and if the pump is shut off the material will simply not get to the leak. You must reverse the flow of water, to force the material through the leak under pressure. Preferably 5-10 psi. until the leak has stopped. When this has been achieved, gradually increase pressure to 15-25 psi. to insure a proper seal.

VERY IMPORTANT: After sealing a suction leak "it" is a must to leave suction off the repaired line for no less than 48 hrs. FIX-A-LEAK requires time to cure and harden.

Miscellaneous Leaks:
If you suspect a leak around fittings inside the pool (such as return fittings) lights, skimmer(s) or steps, etc. Shut down pump.
Apply FIX-A-LEAK directly to the leak using a squeeze bottle, similar to a ketchup bottle.
Allow a minimum of 48 hrs. to cure before starting up circulation.

Doughboy Replacement Liners are all plain blue overlapping liners which are stretched into place, this can be a difficult task to do so please follow the instructions below.

1. Check and Double Check: It’s is vital to check that all levels and measurements are correct before positioning your Doughboy Liner. The cove is a vital structural element that prevents water pressure from forcing the liner out under the bottom rail. So please be sure that cove is installed correctly by manufactures guidelines.
2. Seam Positioning: Check the pool floor (area inside the walls) for levelness. Fill in all depressions and remove any stones or sharp object from floor. Place the Doughboy liner on the top of top rail, the liner should have overhanging the outside wall by 12” inches. Hold end and unroll liner down middle of pool as you would carpet, do not place liner seam over skimmer or return fitting openings.
3. Install Liner: Work in both directions from the point where is already overhanging, unfold Doughboy liner, drape over the top rail and down the sides approximately 24” inches. The liner should be barely above the pool floor in the centre only. Remember that the centre seam or centre of the Doughboy Plain Blue liner should be inside the pool about 12” inches below the top rail. Correct any bunching or pleating conditions in the liner wall. Inspect the liner for open seams if any found return to dealer for prompt replacement of liner.
4. Fill Pool: With the Doughboy Plain Blue liner in position, hold in place by attaching heavy duty clips over folded cardboard on the underside of each top rail. Carefully cover the end of the garden hose with a sock and tape securely, once this is done place hose inside the pool and start filling. As pool fills the liner will stretch as the water begins to cover the bottom. At this point check the walls for EXTREME tautness, release clips if need be but be sure not to release too much slack as this will cause creases. When releasing the clips you will also need to keep in mind the clips will need to be loosened evenly for whole circumference of the pool (Doughboy advise very little amounts at a time). Once the water reaches past the cove the tension should ease off dramatically and you should have no wrinkles on the floor. Creases in the wall can be removed by re-tauting the Doughboy Plain Blue liner over the wall,
5. Procedure to attached liner: With the help of two or three people, raise and hold the Doughboy Plain Blue liner up from any three top rail sections. Remove some of the top rail completely and stretch the Doughboy liner over metal wall as tight as possible, then re-erect the top rail with the liner in position and repeat the procedure all the way round the pool (Remembering only taking 2-3 sections off at one time) Once this is completed and the water is at correct level then the water can be turned off and cuts to the liner can be made.

The Plastica Westminster Wooden Pool has a wall height of 1.35m, which provides a 4ft constant water depth swimming pool, more than deep enough to be able to swim lengths whilst giving you peace of mind that teenage kids will not be out of there depth, if they were to be left alone in the Swimming Pool.

Heating a pool this size is essential in the UK, if you are going to see any use from it.
