Hot Splash Heat Pumps For Above Ground Pools are one of the smallest above ground pool heat pumps available. Designed to heat above ground pool up to 10m3, the Hot Splash Heat Pump is simple to install, with no by-pass kit required and plugging directly into a 13amp socket
The Hot Splash Heat Pump is very cheap to run when compared to an electric heater. For example, a 2.2kw Intex Electric Heater requires 2.2kw of power to run. Taking 19p as an average cost for 1kwh of electricity this means the Intex Heater costs you 42p per hour to run, whilst only giving you 2.2kw of heat. In comparison, the Hot Splash Heat Pump only requires 0.56kw of electricity to produce 3.35kw of power out. That is only 10p an hour to get the equivalent of 63p of heat. This means you could be saving £2.50 per day compared to an Intex heater, saving you over £250 in one Summer.
This will save you the extra cost of the Hot Splash Heat Pump in electricity costs, compared to the cost of an Intex 2.2kw Heater, in one year. The following year all you have are savings and a warm pool.
As with any pool heater, a Solar Cover is essential and the better the quality the more money you save.
The Hot Splash Heat Pump has a Minimum Flow rate requirement of 2m3/hr
Digital Heating Control Panel - Control Heating Up To 30°C & No ByPass Required
Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are designed to heat Pool water slowly but very cost-effectively. For a properly sized Hot Splash heat pump to heat your pool from cold to warm it will normally require 2 - 3 days, but following this initial heating period, it is just a matter of using the Hot Splash Heat Pump to keep up the heat every day.
A Good Quality Solar Cover Must be Used With This Heat Pump
A 400 Micron Blue Solar Cover is recommended to be used with this pool heater to preserve as much heat as possible at night. Click Here to go to the 400-micron Blue solar cover page
We would recommend the Hot Splash Above Ground Pool Heat Pump for pools up to 10m3. If your pool is larger than this we would recommend a bigger heat pump.
